Pau Albornà i Torras Gastronomic Journalism Award to Anya von Bremzen

The Pau Albornà i Torras Prize for Gastronomic Journalism has been awarded to writer and food journalist Anya von Bremzen.

A leading voice in contemporary food writing, she has built an international career interweaving gastronomy, travel, history and culture. She is the author of several seminal books, including Please to the Table: The Russian Cookbook, Mastering the Art of Soviet Cooking, and National Dish: Around the World in Search of Food, History and the Meaning of Home. She has also been recognised several times with James Beard Awards.

Through her books and articles, von Bremzen has transformed food into a means of exploring identity, memory, and the cultures of various countries, offering a personal perspective and extraordinary narrative flair.
