Gastronomic journalism in Latin America is being recognised.

The “Pau Albornà i Torras” Gastronomic Journalism Award, sponsored by Carrasco Hams, is going this year to the journalist Ignacio Medina, for his contribution to gastronomic journalism in Latin America in the last ten years.

Medina talks each week about gastronomy in the American and Brazilian editions of the El País newspaper and contributes to various magazines and weeklies. He has also written 80 books about gastronomy and works as a gastronomic consultant.
