Daniel Canzian was born in Conegliano, in the Prosecco hills of Italy's Veneto region, into a family of restaurateurs who instilled in him a passion for cooking from an early age.

Following training in some of Italy's and France's finest kitchens, a pivotal moment in his career occurred when he met Gualtiero Marchesi, who appointed him as the executive chef of his restaurant group. He subsequently received the prestigious 'Pellegrino Artusi' award for Best Young Chef.

In 2013, he opened the Daniel Canzian restaurant in Milan, where he developed a culinary concept based on a minimalist philosophy that highlights the excellence of the ingredients by eliminating the superfluous. His cuisine is rooted in simplicity and respect for tradition and seasonality, with a firm commitment to using local produce and collaborating with small-scale producers.

A committed advocate of haute cuisine, Daniel Canzian plays an active role in JRE – Jeunes Restaurateurs, an organisation of which he is currently the international president.
